Date for screening on 24th May 2008 at 5pm.
At last we have a date for the premiere screening of the film we made which are calling 'Tunnel Vision'. Its nearly finished now and its just over 5 minutes long. Ben is finishing the edit for us.
It will be shown with a making of documentary of the project and there will presentations of the ASDAN certificates and discussions afterwards. There'll be some drinks and crisps before the film at QFT from 4.30pm.
We're looking at some designs for the film poster and DVD covers that Tim is preparing who did the storyboard workshop with us. We'll upload the one we picked next.
The films will be out on DVD soon too. More information from Marion m.campbell@qub.ac.uk

Post production
After we finished shooting the film, Ben Jones and Marion did an editing workshop. We looked at the rough cut of the short film and discussed the scenes. Then Chantelle, Darzo, Stephanie and Una composed the music for the dance scene. We couldn't use 10Cent's soundtrack used at the shoot because it would cost thousands of pounds to pay for the copy right to use it.

What We Are Doing
I'm one of the teenagers from the Mornington Community programme. We are doing a film on how two friends are fighting with each other and then their girlfriends find out about it, so they make up a plan to go down to the place were they will be fighting and they form up a group. So by the time they get down to the tunnel the girls are there dancing. I'm not going to spoil the film for you, so if you want you can wait to see it when we show it up in Queens Film Theatre at the end of April.

Bridging the Divide Part 3

Teenagers from the Donegall Pass Young Men and Women's Group and Mornington Community Project in the Belfast Ormeau Rd area got together at the end of September 07 to work on a short film-making project. The project is being co-ordinated by Marion from QFT and has been funded by the Belfast City Council.
Not long after they first met up the young people went on a residential at Corrymeela in Ballycastle. It was here that they started to work on storyboards and get ideas for their short film. Then work started on improvising the parts of the characters they created. The drama coaching was done with Tom from ESC and work on the script was done with Sam from ESC.
The first scene started shooting in January 08 at Donegall Pass Community Centre, which was a dance scene. The girls enjoyed dancing the moves that they practiced over Christmas, to camera.
The next scenes will be filmed over February and March and are being filmed in a classroom and in a tunnel in the Belfast area. There'll also be a couple of scenes involving cars...!
